In 1990, when The Cartoon Network was still just one of Ted Turner’s great ideas for a unique television network, Hillary was asked to join the creative team as Director of On-Air Promotion. Hillary was responsible for the entire on-air creative package including animated show intros and opens, music packages, promos, contests, original specials and the network launch show. She received two Promax awards for the campaigns, “Spooky Toons”, and “They Went Thataway”.
